Visiting the strict nature reserve is permission dependent. The permission cost is 85 EUR/person/day. The inquiry for entry permission is available electronically on this website, but payment is due to Guinean Park's office currently. Hikings starts in Serengbara with guides, every morning at 8:00, after the checking of permissions (maps and coordinates will be provided in the office).
The reserve is open throughout the year, the best time to visit is the dry season from November to March. The driest month is December; the wettest month is September with average 30 rainfall days and dense cloud cover over 800 meters.
Due to the lack of public transport between Conakry and Nzérékoé, you have the following options: renting a car in Conakry (1); or booking seats on a weekly shuttle, which is managed by the Guinean Parks (2). Important to note that a drive from Conakry to Nzérékoré requires 2 days and a 4WD car.
Suitable accommodations are available in Nzérékoré and Lola. However, all of them are offline, the only communication channel is the telephone. In fact, the average room occupancy is approximately 60% throughout the year, so you are sure you will find free rooms in any location.
